La Paz, 2 feb 2023 (ATB Digital). – El sargento primero Domingo Chávez Condori fue enterrado la tarde de este jueves en su comunidad natal de Corapata, en la provincia de Los Andes del departamento de La Paz. En un acto de homenaje, la Policía proclamó su ascenso póstumo al grado de sargento mayor. Además, se entregó a su familia la Condecoración al Valor, por su heroísmo en defensa de la sociedad.
El sargento Chávez fue asesinado por el reo brasileño Edvaldo Menezez cuando se fugó del Hospital de Clínicas de la ciudad de La Paz. Los familiares, amigos y camaradas pidieron justicia y que el caso no quede en la impunidad.
